Minnesota State Champions
Trent Hatlevig in 1997 brought home the first individual State Wrestling Title in over 20 years. Trent made his first trip to State in 1996 and continued his winning ways with the first consecutive State championship titles in the history of Caledonia Wrestling. In 1999 he was State Runner-Up. During Trent’s varsity career he posted a 151-30-0 record; and earned High School All American Honors.
Mark Lange is a two time State champion, winning in 1970 and 1972. He was a runner-up in 1971 and holds a 149-11-1 career record. Mark has been inducted into the Minnesota Wrestling Hall of Fame. Mark’s most memorable moment was winning the State Tournament. Mark and Pat have 3 children, Carrie, Brian, and Mitchell.
Bob Link went 27-0 the year he captured his State Title at 180# in 1974. He was also a State entrant in 1973 and placed 4th. Other than winning State, his most memorable moment in wrestling was when he was a freshman and seeded 8th. He also beat a number one seeded senior from Goodhue in the first round of the Caledonia Invitational. Bob and his wife Jenny, reside in Mabel, MN where Bob works for a construction company. They have four children, Lori, Alyssa, Dan, and Bill.
Kevan Meiners was a two time state entrant. In 2002 he placed 5th at State, wrestling at 189#. In 2003 Kevan finished the season with a 39-0 record and a State Championship in the 215# division. Kevan wrestled on varsity for three years and has a career record of 111-17-0. Kevan graduated from RCTCin May 2004.
